Follow along as I replace the air filter in my 2003 Chevrolet Silverado with a Fram 8755A air filter. This job takes about 5 minutes, only requiring you to loosen 4 screws. The gauge on my airbox has never worked, so I don’t worry about resetting it or anything like that. A quick search on Google will show endless folks reporting how faulty they are. In theory, if the truck is sucking for more air, the spring in that little gauge is supposed to go to red, which leads you to replace the air filter as it’s dirty. Mine stopped working in 2003, a few months after I purchased the truck.
