Mounting a vintage porthole

Arrghhh!!! I found this awesome old vintage porthole that an old salty dog on the eastern shore of Maryland had. He acquired it in the ’80s and for 30 years it sat. Now, it’s a work of art hanging in our house. It’s heavy brass, around 30 pounds. The glass isn’t broke and the “dog ears” are fully functional. I used some old Coney Island boardwalk wood I had to mount it. This video will show the install and perhaps give you some tips if you are looking to mount a vintage porthole.
