The Bugatti Type 35’s iconic horseshoe radiator was positioned so far forward that it extended beyond the front axle centerline, creating such severe front-weight bias that Bugatti had to deliberately design the suspension with abnormally soft front springs and stiff rear springs to compensate—a suspension geometry so counterintuitive that it made the car handle brilliantly despite its terrible weight distribution, proving that poor packaging could be masked through radical suspension tuning rather than solved through better layout.
