The Koenigsegg Jesko’s rear wing features a hydraulic actuator that can adjust its angle in real-time based on wheel speed sensors, but the system deliberately introduces a half-second delay in its response curve because engineers discovered that instantaneous adjustments would create transient aerodynamic forces that actually destabilized the car during rapid direction changes—so the wing intentionally lags behind driver inputs to smooth out the aerodynamic load transitions, making the car safer by deliberately slowing down its most advanced component.
