2006 Land Rover Range Rover L322 – The Parts Rover

Sometimes you buy a Range Rover to save it. Sometimes you buy one to save the other Range Rovers.

This 2006 Land Rover Range Rover L322 definitely falls into the second category.

I purchased this old Rover primarily as a parts vehicle, and judging by its condition, it looks like it had a pretty interesting life before finding its way into the jamzDOTnet collection. It was reportedly used on a farm, and it certainly looks the part!

It’s rough, dirty, well-used and far from something most people would consider restoring. But that’s exactly what makes a complete parts vehicle so valuable.

The 2006 model year is particularly useful because it’s from the desirable Jaguar-powered era of the L322, featuring the naturally aspirated 4.4L AJ-V8, six-speed automatic transmission, full-time four-wheel drive and electronic air suspension.

With multiple L322 Range Rovers around here, having an entire donor vehicle means plenty of factory hardware, interior pieces, electronics, trim and mechanical components available when something is needed.

It may never be the prettiest Range Rover in the collection, and its days of farm duty are probably behind it, but this old L322 still has a job to do.

And judging by how it looks, I’d really like to know what stories this thing could tell!
