Our deck on the back of the house is large and close to 30 years old. We purchased the home 12 years ago and the deck had a solid coat of stain. Over the past 12 years, I’ve redid the stain 3 times, roughly every 4 years. This round, I power washed it and wanted to sand it down a bit to get loose paint off and provide a rougher texture for the new solid color deck stain. The purpose of this video is to show how to use this $49 rental from Home Depot to sand my deck. It’s a great DIY project and will save you a few bucks. Enjoy.
