The Jamz on-line photo gallery has been updated. With the growing number of photos in the gallery I broke the sections down into a more viewable format. The photo journal is back on-line (cell phone pics) in which I'll use my Sony T1 to take random photos with.

Website Updates

Jamz Management, LLC had a series of website updates completed today. The website is now reflecting our position in the vacation rental market much better. As we continue to grow with WeekendOasis, Jamz Management will maintain the holding company. GM Performance Tuning and Jamz Web Productions are the only sub-companies still highly active under the brand. Currently, we do not forsee any new sub-companies forming as we continue our course to become the leader in the vacation rental market.

Blue Mountain Oasis HVAC

Well, after our work completed on the HVAC system at Blue Mountain we had additional problems. Instead of repairing it for the season we elected to replace the entire unit. It was a 16 year old unit and just didn't make sense to fix the problem since it didn't have much life left on it. I'm pleased to announce the new unit is Energy Star complaint, continuing in our effort to make all properties green friendly. It's a Lennox 2.5 ton unit, everything new, down to the thermostat. The total cost was around $4,000 but it's worth it to ensure out guest have the best possible stay.

Weekend Oasis

Blue Mountain Oasis has just completed our yearly work on the central AC. As it turns out we were 3 gallons low on freon! I also learned, in 2010, Freon units will no longer be sold!

Going Green @ Weekend Oasis

This week I'm proud to announce Weekend Oasis Vacation rentals has taken a step to "go green" even more in our properties! All light bulbs at BryceCondo were replaced with Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs. "If every American home replaced just one light bulb with an ENERGY STAR qualified bulb, we would save enough energy to light more than 3 million homes for a year, more than $600 million in annual energy costs, and prevent greenhouse gases equivalent to the emissions of more than 800,000 cars." We are going to be replacing all bulbs at Blue Mountain Oasis next.

BryceCondo Donates to St. Lukes House

BryceCondo.com at Bryce Resort has donated a 2 night stay for the St. Lukes House charity donation. St. Luke's House, Inc., (SLH) was founded in 1971 by concerned citizens from St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Bethesda, MD, to address the needs of patients being released from state psychiatric hospitals who had no place to go. SLH was established independently soon thereafter, and the first group home was opened.

We are happy to support St. Lukes House and involved in the auction on April 23.

Weekend Oasis Vacation Rental Work

The past 4 days I spent in Virginia working around the properties. I love the business, truly I do, but it can sure beat the heck out of you after a long weekend. To start, we had 3 full days of work at the house. I completely landscaped the outside, had an electrician fix a light issue in the hallway, completely sealed the two tier deck, power washed the entire exterior of the house, steam cleaned all the upstairs carpet, cleaned the entire house, replaced all the guts of the upstairs toiler, among a few other things.
